As you read this I’m probably installing or have already installed Opera 9.7 beta on to my HTC Touch Pro with Windows Mobile 6.5. I currently run 9.5 so we’ll see how different this is. By the time I post this I’ll probably have some photos up anyway.

OK, so I have it working… kind of. It’s SUPPOSED to play flash, but it keeps crashing every time I go to a page that has flash. That’s OK, it’s probably an issue between WM6.5 and Opera 9.7 (which Skyfire doesn’t seem to have) Though I do have to say everything else with Opera 9.7 loads much faster.

The cool thing is the widget app which is basically a bunch of pretty bookmarks that link to pages in the browser.

There’s an explanation of all the new “features” on the site. This is all technical jargon that means it’s faster and prettier than it ever was. There are a few known issues which you can read on the Opera download page here.

For more screen shots from my phone go here.

Sprint Roadside Assistance May 28, 2009

If you know me, when it comes to electronics I like to get the best stuff out there. That’s why it’s no surprise to know that I get all the bells and whistles attached to my wirless plan. Lately the two big things being pushed are phone protection plans (due to the over priced phones coming out) and roadside assistance. Now, I have have both of these add-ons attached to my plan. Yes I have roadside assistance through insurance but having double assistance is even better. You can make them race and see who gets there fastest then cancel on the other guy.

Well, it’s 4 something in the morning and I’m on the side of the freeway waiting for sprint roadside assistance. The people that run the program for sprint are very nice compared to my insurance provider. The great part is using it is of no cost to you besides your monthly payment. On top of that, like AAA you can use it for any vehicle you happen to be driving or riding in. Yes, even a rental car. Anyway, tow truck should be here soon so I will talk to you guys later.

Many of you think I was born and raised in San Diego California, but I’m not. I’m from Bethesda Maryland. Bethesda Maryland is the most educated town in the United States of America. Don’t believe me? Look it up. Out of 56,842 people that live there, 47,917 have degrees of some sort. More than half of those degrees being at least a Masters.

If you get a chance. Read about it.
